After a couple of days of doing adult oriented events today was really about keeping the active toddler busy. Turns out that a long walk to the activity centre followed by roller skating, then football and then swimming in the afternoon is enough to wear out everyone in the party and not just a three year old! The slight issue is that a three year old thinks that they don’t need a nap in the afternoon even if everyone else does. 😂
This is where Center Parcs can get expensive if you let it. As pointed out last year when we came it is possible to do many things for free. However, as a captive (and I mean that in the nicest way) it is hard to resist the siren call of all the additional activities of which are many and varied. There is literally something for everyone from sensory play for babies right through to the activites such as the archery and falconry that I’ve taken part in this week. All are well organised and well attended if this week is anything to go by.
There are also a seemingly endless number of sporting activities you can take part in. This week we have done both badminton and table tennis. The former I struggled with due to my arm issues and the latter because I am basically rubbish. This was a disappointment given that I have been playing weekly for the last few months but, to be fair, I’ve been rubbish then too.
Tomorrow is our last day and you don’t get much of it. You have to be out of the lodge by 10am and we have a breakfast reservation at the pancake house for 9:30 so we’ll need to get our skates on. It has been a good break though and we will be back – next July in fact.
