As time goes on and remember that I have been doing this for over 14 years, it gets increasingly difficult to find new and interesting things to say about places, particularly when they are as small as Cartagena. Therefore, today I am going to talk about pavements.

Most places we visit have pretty boring pavements but not Cartagena. This place has the most beautiful marble floor all along the main shopping streets as you can see above and below. It must be hell when it rains but given that this is southern Spain that probably isn’t a problem they have to contend with very often.
If you are looking for a reason to visit Cartagena go for the flooring!
