Cadillac Summit Road
The highest peak on the East coast of America is Cadillac Mountain accessed by the Cadillac Summit Road. It is so popular, particularly at sunrise, that you can only access it via a timed ticket booked well in advance. While the weather this morning hadn’t been great at least it was dry. Now it was raining and the clouds had come right down. We gamely drove on to the top of the mountain where the visibility was pretty much zero. We got out of the car, walked to the viewpoint, confirmed that there was no view (see above), got back in the car and drove back down again! Oh well, at least the bulk of the day had been clear.
